Commission Only Telemarketing - Marketing Coordinators

http://www.pagepersonnel.com.hk

In the UK there are over 600 telemarketing/telesales companies and these range in size and experience.

Typically they would fall into the following types:

Day rate charging

Telemarketing companies that charge a flat day rate for their services (sometimes with a bonus on appointments/sales).

Monthly rate charging

Telemarketing companies that will charge a flat monthly fee for a certain number of hours calling throughout a month.

Appointment rate charging

This is fairly new and only a few agencies provide this, but there are no fees other than when a confirmed appointment is booked.

We get asked a lot about commission only telemarketing, why is it that no telemarketing company will take on commission only calling?

One of the popular comments we hear is: "Surely if they are confident in their abilities then they would be driven to produce results."

There are many forms of marketing (web based marketing, PR based, telephone based) and all have charges associated with them. This can be expanded to sales people, instead of taking a basic salary and commission, if they are confident in their sales abilities why not go commission only?

The answer would be that they do not fancy the risk. If a sales person could choose between a commission only job and a job that offers a basic wage of £35,000 + bonus + car then most would opt for the latter.

The same could be said for telemarketing companies, if they have lots of businesses willing to pay them for calling then they would choose this over commission only work (which may not pay up if a sale is made). It is about risk.

Freelancers or retired people may consider commission only work, but it difficult from a commitment issue. If you are paying a company for telemarketing, then they are committed to you. If you are not paying them and they are only paid on a results basis, getting commitment and dedication is almost impossible. Plus as soon as a job opportunity or a paying client comes along, you will probably be brushed to one site.

There have been a few companies that did offer commission related calling, but they are not trading any more (possibly due to them not generating enough commission or getting paid work).

The risk is actually with client, they have to pay the agency to do calling, which may or may not result in orders/appointments/sales. This is actually not that much different to other forms of marketing (from advertising, internet marketing, mailing) in that you do need to speculate to accumulate (you do need to invest in the unknown).

Agencies get asked all the time, and it is normally by startup companies that want to get orders flowing. Normally there is no brand, no track record and no sales structure, so the startup is wanting someone else to take on the risk.

In many ways it would be great to have a telemarketing company hammering out calls by the thousand, and you not paying for it unless they get results. However no telemarketing company will take this on due to the risk.

  • Commercial Cleaning- You Should Try Telemarketing_201

Commercial Cleaning? You Should Try Telemarketing - Marketing Coordinators

http://www.pagepersonnel.com.hk

As a businessman engaged in commercial cleaning services, it is pretty much a necessity to improve your marketability. After all, one could only improve their business capabilities by increasing the number of firms that deal with them. Fewer customers would translate to a weaker business performance. To keep the steady flow of customers going, it pays to have sufficient numbers of janitorial sales leads. This is what you might consider as the grease the keeps the business operation going. As long as these leads exist it becomes less troublesome for these firms to keep themselves afloat. It's not difficult to imagine the impact of these leads in the performance of commercial cleaning services.

Commercial cleaning services are an important industry. Companies recognize that maintaining a hygienic environment for their workforce is a necessary investment. These firms could try by hiring their own maintenance services. Unfortunately, this could result to additional expenses for the firm. That's why we have janitorial services who offer the same performance compared to in-house cleaners, but at a much lower rates. This is an advantage that many business firms are slowly catching on. In addition, commercial cleaners often have equipment that is more capable of cleaning compared to the ones possessed by in-house personnel. One might find that hiring these firms would be a very good investment.

Now, there are many firms that are in need of them. They have the money. They also have the time and the place where commercial cleaners can work. The only problem is that they don't know who to hire in the first place. And this is where you, as the owner of a commercial cleaning service, come in. You have what it takes to do the job. All you had to do is to inform these firms that you are available. This task can be done on your own, yes, but to a limited extent. For the sake of quality, you might want to hire telemarketing services. These professionals are the best when it comes to this job, and they will free you up to concentrate more on how to improve your business.

Telemarketing has been around for many years. Despite what you might hear from mainstream media, it's not really a monster. Although it's true that there are many cases of abuses committed by unethical telemarketers, there's been a widespread effort to eradicate it. This has come from their own ranks, as well as legislation enacted by the government. Over the past years, it has proven itself to be an inexpensive, yet effective, method in generating commercial janitorial leads in numbers that cannot be matched by other techniques. Perhaps it's interesting to note that these firms are the best when it comes to dealing with a lot of problems. And these problems are what you might consider impossible to resolve on your own.

Commercial cleaning services can benefit a lot from professional telemarketers. Not only would they be able to increase your chances of finding new markets, this would also prove to be invaluable in the areas of lead generation and appointment setting. Do you want to have more firms coming to your shop? Then you should let telemarketing to the promoting for you. They are the best in what they do. And they guarantee that they will deliver good leads that can be easily converted into a sale. You might find this method to be a bit radical, considering the nature of your business, but it's the right option for you. Telemarketing has worked for other firms. This could very well work with you, too.

Curious? You should be. Better yet, why don't you give it a try?

Combating the Most Time Consuming Workplace Distraction - Accounting jobs

http://www.pagepersonnel.com.hk

Ever find that your workday does not go as smoothly as planned? No, we’re not talking about the emergency meeting called at 4:45 PM or your hard drive that crashed five minutes before a project deadline. We’re talking about those colleagues that drop by to chat about everything from their kid’s latest triumph in little league to the latest Hollywood scandal.
In a recent poll across the Beyond.com Network of more than 15,000 niche career communities that asked, “What is the most time consuming distraction at work?” more than 42% of more than 8,700 business professionals, said that talkative colleagues are the biggest distraction in the workplace.
So, if so many professionals are affected by chatty colleagues, there has to be some solution to stay focused and productive.
For those of us who suffer, here’s the good news and bad news—there isn’t just one clear cut solution. Below you’ll find some easy ways to let a talkative coworker down easily and avoid other distractions at work. So take your pick and figure out what works best for your particular situation. And who knows, if a chatty colleague reads this they might take the hint and save you the effort by changing their ways on their own. So, feel free to share this article!
Work on Flex Time – Consider arriving at work early or staying late to avoid distractions. Not only will you have some “quality time” to get organized and get things done, you can also avoid some traffic on your commute to and from work.
Close Your Door or Hang a Sign - A closed door sends a signal. Don’t have a door? Hang a sign to let your colleagues know you prefer not to be disturbed.
Grab Your Headphones - Sport your headphones (even if you’re not listening to any music). This is a good deterrent that shows coworkers that you’re making an attempt to not be distracted by blocking out anything else that’s going on in the office.
Avoid Instant Messaging- Many offices use instant messaging in order to increase productivity in the workplace. However, instant messaging can become highly-distracting, especially when folks use this as a means to chat or gossip. Think of how many times your instant messages were personal or weren’t urgent. When you are under a deadline or have a lot of work to do, think about temporarily closing down your instant messaging. If it’s urgent, someone will know how to reach you.
Forward Calls to Voice Mail- How many times have you been in the middle of a project and you get interrupted by a phone call? Even though it is important to be responsive, from time-to-time, it is acceptable to forward your calls directly to voice mail to avoid interruptions.
Check Email Messages Less Frequently- Do you find yourself checking your email messages every few minutes or feel that you need to respond to an email message as soon as you receive it? To avoid unnecessary disruptions, consider checking emails every half-hour or hour and prioritize your responses based upon level of urgency.
Be a Team Player - Being a team player is a great quality to have. So in order to stay productive ask for help. When you find yourself in a situation where you are going to be talking to a colleague that likes to chat, ask another co-worker to be on the lookout and politely request your assistance in order to eloquently end a conversation.
Work from Home - Do you find that you are more productive when you work in the privacy of your own home? If you answered yes, then telecommuting or asking to work from home from time-to-time might be a good option for you. Working from home, but making yourself available via email or phone, is a great way to avoid the idle chatter you experience when you are in the office.
When dealing with talkative colleagues and avoiding disruptions, the most important thing is to stay professional. It’s easy to tell a friend or family member when they are being bothersome; however it can sometimes get more complicated in the workplace. Every Color Foil levels the playing field for home, small, medium and any size business offering a product or service.

The process for using Every Color Foil is easy but you need to know how to set up your files. For a colored foil job, you must include a colored foil/mask file along with your standard CMYK file. The mask file indicates where the foil will be placed. The file process is the same as spot UV-100% K where foil is placed, 0% where the foil is not placed.

When creating knockouts in your foil mask or in your CMYK print file, beware there might be a "Halo" of white around the knockout area. To prevent this, (in Photoshop) grow/stroke the foil area in the mask by 1-2 pixels. Other programs will also let you do this. This will allow the foil to bleed into the CMYK area, reducing the white "Halo" effect. You can also fill in the knockout with a color to further reduce the halo effect.

There are some things you need to keep in mind when creating your colored foil mask.

• Make sure the mask and CMYK print file are aligned and match up properly.

• Colored foil works best on lighter colors. The darker the CMYK color, the less the colored foil look.

• White in the CMYK file that is 100% K in the colored foil file will appear as plain silver colored foil.

  • Cold Calling Your Way to Hot New Leads_21

Cold Calling Your Way to Hot New Leads - Marketing Coordinators

http://www.pagepersonnel.com.hk

Don't talk cold calling lightly. It's a very hard thing to do, even for professional telemarketers. It takes a huge amount of courage just to pick up the phone and dial a number and talk to complete strangers whom they would try to persuade to purchase one or many of the products or services available for their clients. So in order to turn cold calls and get as many possible sales leads that they can count in a day, it would require them huge amount of confidence, skill, and being somewhat thick-faced as well.

Even though customers would answer the call with as much respect as they can muster, telemarketers face a huge wall of objections and rejections that in any moment can fall upon them like a big stack of bricks. Even experienced sales people have difficulty starting up a cold call, what more would a start up entrepreneur feel to pick up the phone and dial a completely unknown number for the very first time.

But if you can't face any type of rejection and absolutely fears it then don't even try to get into the cold calling business. As a telemarketer, you should give your leads the right reasons in order for them to be able to purchase your product.

Here are some tips to get you started into a lead generating machine and get those sales coming in.

1. Know Your Target Market

Most businesses today would just aggressively start selling their products and services without even knowing who their target leads are. This would lead to a business to eventually close down because this is like a soldier going into a war with all the knowledge on how to fight but has no bullets equipped to his gun. Businessmen who think that this is wrong and waste of time and money would ultimately lose the business due to lack of knowledge on his target markets.

2. Do a Bit of Research Before the Call

Agents who know about the person or company that they will be calling will have more chances of generating those leads and qualifying them rather than hearing the dreaded phrase "Not interested." If you would research about the business that you would be calling, then you already have a partial knowledge on what they need so that you can address your call with more ease.

3. Get a Good Script and Apply It to Your Calls

Let's face it, you can't just start calling people and try to tell them that they need the product you are selling just like that. You need to have a good script in order to sound good and be professional at the same time so that your leads would know that they would be talking to the right person who can cater to their business needs. With a script, you can also practice by yourself or with a friend in order to point out key statements and choose words that needed to be changed. In time, you will be able to rake in customers with the script that and you can even persuade the most negative of all leads. Also with as good script, you can counter any objection that your potential prospect will throw at you.

Even with the right tools and experience, cold calling agents would always find the task of talking to their prospects very difficult and horrifying. In order to make a successful cold call, you as a telemarketer should be focused on your calls and make sure that your potential leads are at that point where they are ready to buy.

Are Niche Job Boards for You? - Accounting jobs

http://www.pagepersonnel.com.hk

You may have pondered the idea of jumping onto a niche job board to conduct your searches but wonder if it's good for you. While everyone is definitely different in their approach to conducting a job search, when comparing the niche job board to larger boards that spread across all industries, the answer to whether it's good for you is yes!
If you want more details as to why the niche job board is a good option for just about every job seeker, here are some reasons to consider:
Sometimes Large Job Boards Are Too Broad
While it is undoubtedly beneficial to use numerous tools available to you while job seeking, you might notice that some tools are not as helpful as others. In the case of the larger job boards that cover all industries, you may have a difficult time being found by recruiters who have to sort through many applicants.
By using a niche job board, you have the opportunity to look for jobs and be exposed to recruiters in a smaller environment. You know for sure that the jobs you're looking for are directly related to your profession, and recruiters can find you more easily because the number of seekers who have posted resumes is fewer.
You May Locate Opportunities Not Found Elsewhere
Some job seekers are surprised to discover that jobs offered on niche job boards are oftentimes not found elsewhere. This is because some hiring managers are not interested in posting on a larger job board, then sifting through applications that are not targeted to the job.
Their success rate is often better when they utilize a niche job board that deters candidates who are not really focused on the industry. So they post jobs in this setting and nowhere else.
Hiring Managers Sometimes List Personal Contact Information
Very often, hiring managers don't post their direct contact information on larger job boards because they don't want to be bombarded with calls and e-mails. But on smaller niche job boards, you may find that a hiring manager will allow you to e-mail your resume directly to him or her versus routing you to a generic application. This gives you the opportunity to engage in more intimate communication throughout the application process.
The good news is that there are more and more niche job boards cropping up that cater to just about any industry you can think of. So if you think participating on one is for you, then now is the time to jump on board!

  • Are Managers Mentors-_171

Are Managers Mentors? - Accounting jobs

http://www.pagepersonnel.com.hk

"Are managers mentors?" is probably one of the most common questions in the corporate workplace today. While a good manager should have mentorship qualities, and the ability to get the most potential productivity from subordinates, are both roles possible for a supervisor? Some executives think it’s not only possible, but necessary. Others believe the two roles must remain completely separate, in order to be truly effective.
Why the Debate
Why the debate over managing and mentoring? According to the American Heritage Dictionary the job of a mentor is "to serve as a trusted counsellor or teacher, especially in occupational settings". Doesn’t a good manager possess these same talents and job skills?
Unfortunately, the answer isn’t so clear cut. Some professionals believe a manager must be separate and apart from the mentoring role. While a mentor is nurturing and encouraging, a manager must maintain the leadership role and make sure the company’s business goals are met, which mean that a new employee is likely to be very uncomfortable learning under the tutelage of the individual ultimately in charge of worker retention. Thus, a mentoring program works best when the mentor and mentee are peers.
Defining the Role of Manager vs. Mentor
For the companies choosing to define the specific roles of manager and mentor, it is a good idea to have a check list of duties and responsibilities. Since both are ultimately interested in the success of the new hire, it’s not difficult to image stepping on each other’s toes and performing certain tasks twice. Conversely, it’s is also possible that certain aspects of the mentoring program will be neglected, assuming the other person is taking care of that particular detail.
As an example, the manager checklist may include such tasks as:
- assessment of job performance for certification or continued employment
- maintaining a position of authority and legal obligations to the company and the mentee
The manager is generally focused on the day-to-day performance and productivity of the new hire
In essence, a manager is more concerned about the outcome of the new employee’s performance, rather than the processes taken to achieve the company goals.
On the other hand, a peer mentor remembers what it’s like to start in a new position and learn the daily operations. While mentoring means helping a new co worker achieve his/her duties as expected by the management, the approach is more personal and caring.
As an example, the mentor checklist may include such tasks as:
The mentor implements a plan to achieve professional goals, but helps the new hire to self assess and evaluate how to improve his/her performance. A good mentor compassionately encourages, coaches, challenges, and teaches, based upon his/her own personal experience and expertise. A mentor is generally more concerned with the long-term goal of developing an employee worth retaining, rather than the day-to-day productivity.
In short, the manager and mentorship roles do intersect on occasion, when it comes to training and retaining talented employees. But, each role also maintains very distinct differences in approach and the main goal. Unfortunately, the question still remains: Are managers mentors? Every company must choose the answer for themselves.
